Ms Yap Qian Yin

Qian Yin, 35 years old, was paralysed below the waist after a leukaemia relapse at 16. She has shown remarkable resilience. While pursuing her Bachelor of Commerce, she won gold in parasailing at the 2014 Asian Para Games and 2015 ASEAN Para Games. An advocate for accessibility, she volunteers with SmartBFA and serves on the Disabled People’s Association board.

Qian Yin was nominated by the Disabled People’s Association.
